This is a family business with its origins going back nearly a century when my grandfather Edgar Greenwood arrived in Wellington from Rochdale in England. He began work with Alcock and Co making Billiards tables and remained in their employment until being called up to go overseas to WW1.

He was one of the fortunate ones to return home without major injury and took up residence in Dunedin where he was agent for Alcocks as well as doing table repairs.

In due course my father Jim trained in the job and in 1953 decided Christchurch was the place for him and set up in business here.

In 1970 I commenced working at the trade and in later years took over the running of the business.

Now we are known as Snooker Shop with our showroom and workshop situated inside the "Four Avenues" that mark the boundaries of Central Christchurch. From here we undertake the building of new tables, major table refurbishing and display and sell the complete range of product sought by today’s Cue Sport player and commercial operator.

As well we carry out on site work anywhere in the South Island and further afield on request.

We have the experience, skills, products and knowledge to put together a solution to meet all your needs from a simple cue retip to a complete setup fit for a World Tournament.
